  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt until well combined.
  3. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. For the filling, mix chopped walnuts with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 1/4-inch thick). Spread the walnut filling evenly and roll tightly.
  7. Cut into 1-inch slices and place on a greased baking sheet. Allow to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
