Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry red wine (Merlot or Tempranillo)
  • 1 cup chopped fresh fruits (oranges, lemons, berries)
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 2 cups sparkling water or lemon-lime soda
  • 2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the fresh fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the chopped fruits, red wine, and brandy. Allow the mixture to chill for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  3. Just before serving, add sparkling water or soda for fizz and mix in sweetener if desired. Chill in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.
