Turkey & Cranberry BBQ Meatballs are a flavorful and festive appetizer that brings together tender turkey meatballs coated in a sweet and tangy sauce. Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juice
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté onions in a skillet over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, sautéed onions, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Form mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  6. For the sauce, combine cranberry sauce, BBQ sauce, cranberry juice, soy sauce, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  7. Serve meatballs warm with toothpicks.
