- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup cranberry juice
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Sauté onions in a skillet over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ground turkey, sautéed onions, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- For the sauce, combine cranberry sauce, BBQ sauce, cranberry juice, soy sauce, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Serve meatballs warm with toothpicks.
