  • 8 oz dark chocolate, for coating
  • Optional: sprinkles or crushed nuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract.
  2. Gradually add flour, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Chill the dough in an airtight container for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Scoop out uniform balls of dough and roll them smooth in your palms.
  5. Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl at 20-second intervals until smooth.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off before placing on parchment paper.
  7. If desired, sprinkle with colored sugar or crushed nuts while the chocolate is still wet.
  8. Let set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
