- 2 large oranges (juiced and zested)
- 4 cardamom pods (crushed)
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (120ml) water
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries under cold water, discarding any soft berries.
- Juice and zest both oranges, setting aside the zest for later.
- Crush the cardamom pods using a mortar and pestle or spice grinder to release their aroma.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, orange juice, sugar, and crushed cardamom. Stir occasionally until cranberries pop and release juices (about 10 minutes).
- Stir in the orange zest and just enough water for desired consistency. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool before serving or refrigerate for later.
