- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (120ml)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (125g), sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder (5g)
- 1/4 tsp salt (1.5g)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (5ml)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat.
- Stir in dark brown sugar and granulated sugar until dissolved.
- Allow to cool slightly, then whisk in eggs one at a time and add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into wet ingredients without overmixing.
- Add maple syrup and mix until just combined. Pour batter into the prepared dish.
