Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Slice the stale bread thickly and butter each slice generously.

- Layer half of the buttered bread in the baking dish, pour half of the custard mixture over it. Repeat with remaining bread and custard.
