- 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine sliced peaches with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cinnamon; set aside.
- In another bowl, mix flour, both sugars, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Layer peach mixture on top and sprinkle remaining crumbs over the peaches.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling before cutting into squares.
