  • 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by warming milk to about 110°F (43°C) and mixing in active dry yeast. Let sit until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt; create a well in the center. Pour in the yeast mixture, softened butter, and eggs; mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. For the filling, mix cinnamon and sugar in one bowl; toss cranberries with orange zest in another.
  6. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, spread butter over it, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture and cranberry filling.
  7. Roll tightly from one end; pinch seams closed and place seam-side down in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Let rise again until puffy (30-45 minutes). Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
