  • 14 oz firm or extra-firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil (for frying)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (for dipping sauce)
  • 1 tsp chili paste (for dipping sauce)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch thick triangles.
  2. Coat each triangle in cornstarch until fully covered.
  3. Mix soy sauce and garlic powder in a bowl, dip each triangle into the mixture, then roll in sesame seeds.
  4. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the triangles for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. For the dipping sauce, mix rice vinegar and chili paste in a small bowl. Serve warm with tofu triangles.
