  • 8 large cabbage leaves
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes until softened.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground meat, diced onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
  3. Lay each blanched leaf flat and spoon the meat mixture onto each leaf. Fold tightly like a burrito.
  4. Place folded burgers seam-side down on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy plain.
