Description

Carne Asada Fries are a delicious fusion of crispy fries topped with mouthwatering marinated beef, creamy guacamole, and melted cheese. This flavorful dish is perfect for game nights or casual gatherings, transforming any meal into a culinary adventure. With endless topping options, you can easily customize them to suit your taste and impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes (about 800g)
  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Marinate the flank steak by mixing olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, and chili powder in a bowl. Coat the steak well and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  2. Wash and peel the russet potatoes; slice them into thick fries and soak in cold water for 30 minutes.
  3. Drain and pat dry the potatoes. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry potatoes until golden brown (5-7 minutes), flipping halfway through.
  4. Grill the marinated flank steak over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing thinly against the grain.
  5. Assemble by layering crispy fries on a platter, topping with sliced steak, melted cheese, guacamole, and salsa.
  6. Serve immediately while hot.
