- 3–4 fresh lemons (about ½ cup lemon juice)
- ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste; can substitute with honey or agave)
- 2 cups filtered water (or sparkling for a fizzy twist)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out 4 cups of flesh, discarding seeds.
- Roll and juice the lemons until you have about ½ cup of juice.
- Blend the watermelon chunks with half of the lemon juice until smooth.
- (Optional) Strain the mixture to remove pulp for a smoother drink.
- In a pitcher, combine watermelon juice, remaining lemon juice, sugar, and water; stir until dissolved.
- Serve over ice, garnished with mint leaves or lemon slices.
