  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce for drizzling
  • Optional: Sea salt flakes for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition; then stir in vanilla.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
