  • 2 lbs pork belly, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Sliced green onions for garnishing

Instructions

  3. Flip the meat and add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil; stir to coat.
  5. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook on low heat for 1 hour.
  6. Remove lid, increase heat slightly, and stir until sauce thickens.
  7. Serve garnished with green onions.
