  • 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Cuban seasoning (blend of cumin, oregano, paprika)
  • 12 soft slider buns
  • 1 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 6 oz Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp mustard

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and pat dry. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the pork on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  3. Transfer the pork to a slow cooker. Top with sliced onions and minced garlic.
  4. Sprinkle Cuban seasoning over the pork and add a splash of water or chicken broth.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender.
  6. Shred the pork using two forks and assemble sliders with pork, cheese, pickles, and mustard on buns.
