Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls; mix cocoa powder into one bowl for chocolate flavor.
  6. Pour half of each batter into prepared liners for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
