Description

Mini Apple Pies are delightful, bite-sized desserts that capture the essence of autumn with their flaky crust and spiced apple filling. Ingredients

  • 4 cups Granny Smith apples (about 4 medium apples), peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 pre-made pie crusts
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Toss well.
  3. Roll out pie crusts to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into circles to fit the muffin tin.
  4. Press each circle into the muffin tin, fill with spiced apple mixture, and top with additional dough cutouts.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
