- 3 to 4 lbs boneless chuck roast
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 medium carrots, chopped
- 12 slider buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Sear the chuck roast in a hot skillet until browned on all sides for added flavor.
- Layer sliced onions in the bottom of the crockpot, then place the roast on top.
- Add minced garlic and chopped carrots around the roast.
- Pour beef broth over the roast until half-submerged.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until tender.
- Shred the meat using two forks and assemble onto slider buns with optional toppings.
