  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tsp cotton candy flavoring extract

  • 1 cup buttercream frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, cold water, and cotton candy flavoring extract until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds full.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool cupcakes in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Frost cooled cupcakes with buttercream frosting and top with cotton candy fluff if desired.
