- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until just combined. Form into small meatballs.
- Brown meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until crusted on all sides (about 8 minutes).
- In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta with marinara sauce.
- Layer half of the saucy pasta in a baking dish, followed by half of the meatballs. Repeat layers.
- Top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
