  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until moistened. Press into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, then mix in sour cream and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time without overmixing. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the mixture over the crust and spread evenly. Bake for 40-45 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least two hours.
  7. For topping (optional), melt brown sugar with maple syrup and stir in additional pecans before pouring over chilled bars.
