  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cardamom, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time; mix in milk and vanilla until combined.
  5. Gradually fold in dry ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Fill muffin cups two-thirds full and bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow cupcakes to cool for five minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
  8. For the frosting, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar until fluffy.
  9. Frost cooled cupcakes generously and enjoy!
