Description

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and half of the milk until smooth; then add the remaining milk.
  5. Gently fold in the sprinkles.
  6. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool on wire racks before frosting or serving.
