Description

Mushroom Chicken is a creamy, savory dish that combines tender chicken with rich mushrooms, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Heavy cream
  • Chicken broth
  • Olive oil
  • Dried thyme
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by finely chopping the onions and garlic, and slicing the mushrooms.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until softened, approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; sprinkle dried thyme. Stir gently and let simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Serve Mushroom Chicken with rice or pasta, garnished with parsley if desired.
