Description

Italian Sausage Rigatoni Pasta is a comforting dish that combines savory sausage, rich tomatoes, and fresh herbs for a delightful meal that’s perfect any night of the week.


Ingredients

  • Rigatoni pasta
  • Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
  • Canned diced tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh basil
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente (10-12 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until translucent, then add minced garlic and sauté until golden.
  3. Crumble and add Italian sausage to the skillet. Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Pour in canned diced tomatoes with juices. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine cooked rigatoni with the sauce in the skillet, tossing gently to coat.
  6. Remove from heat, fold in chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
