Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans with butter and dust with flour.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the milk, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and Prosecco.
  4. Sift together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture while folding gently.
  5. Fold in the sliced strawberries until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
