Description

Spring Pesto Pasta is a vibrant, fresh dish celebrating seasonal flavors with aromatic basil and colorful ingredients. Perfect for gatherings or a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fusilli recommended)
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the pasta: Bring salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Make the pesto: In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, pine nuts, lemon juice, and Parmesan. Pulse until chopped.
  3. 3. Add olive oil: With the processor running, drizzle in olive oil until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Combine: Mix the cooked pasta with the pesto in a large bowl until evenly coated.
