  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 18 oz fresh cheese tortellini
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the diced onion for about 3 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in the tortellini until coated in the meat sauce.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, top with mozzarella cheese, and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
