  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round baking pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and creamy peanut butter.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture along with milk until just blended.
  5. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool layers in pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
  7. For frosting, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar.
  8. Assemble the cake by layering frosting between each layer and covering the top and sides.
