Description

Creamy Beef and Shells is a comforting one-pot dish that combines tender ground beef, pasta shells, and a rich, cheesy sauce. Perfect for family dinners!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 8 oz large pasta shells
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Brown for about 6-8 minutes.
  3. In a separate pot, boil salted water and cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente (10-12 minutes). Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
  4. Stir beef broth and cream cheese into the meat mixture until smooth.
  5. Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted. If needed, thin sauce with reserved pasta water.
  6. Fold cooked pasta shells into the sauce until well-coated. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
