Description

Celebrate Independence Day with a stunning 4th of July Patriotic Poke Cake! This vibrant dessert features fluffy vanilla cake soaked in fruity jello, topped with whipped cream and adorned with fresh berries.   • 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 oz red jello (strawberry or cherry)
  • 3 oz blue jello (berry flavor)
  • 8 oz whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries and blueberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package instructions using eggs and warm water. Pour into the prepared dish.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden; check doneness with a toothpick.
  4. Allow the cake to cool slightly, then poke holes all over with a wooden spoon handle.
  5. Prepare both jello flavors separately according to package instructions. Pour half of each over different sections of the cake and let set for about 30 minutes.
  6. Spread whipped topping over the cake once set. Garnish with fresh berries if desired.
